Yes folks, that is correct MMA is now sanctioned and ready to go ahead in Ontario.
AUGUST 14, 2010 marked the day that Mixed Martial Arts was officially welcomed to Ontario.
Ontario is moving forward to allow professional mixed martial arts (MMA), which is a full-contact, combative sport. For those unfamiliar with the sport, competitors use a mixture of striking and grappling martial arts techniques.
Professional MMA gained widespread exposure in North America over the past decade and is increasing in popularity throughout the world. Six Canadian jurisdictions and 46 American states already allow the sport. Many Ontario fans attend live MMA events elsewhere in North America and purchase pay-per-view subscriptions to watch the sport here.

Time after time I come across females who are terrified of lifting weight for the fear of looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Ask yourself, do i have a beard, an “Adam’s Apple”, or a voice so deep it makes James Earl Jones sound like a preschooler. If your answer is no, then you have nothing to worry about. The female sex does not have the hormones (mainly testosterone) needed for hypertrophy. Following are some main reasons why you should include weight training into your training schedule.
I have a fully referenced article that I am going to post in a week or two, but first I wanted to get you thinking. Below I have suggested some of the reason’s I believe resistance training to be beneficial and even important for women, but I want to know your questions, concerns and thoughts.
Here are a few reasons why I think women should not be afraid to lift weights as a form of exercise.
